Update on a few projects!

So organizing has been my focus for the past two weeks, and I am going on my third week. I still don't have everything organized, but I do see a difference in my kitchen and Lylia's room.

The dreadful before picture!

First I decided that my kitchen needed a little pick me up. So I bought this little pantry, and it is already organizing my life!

The beautiful organized cabinet! Justin might just get a few more home cooked meals now that I feel like I know where everything is.

Here is the beautiful after shot!

Here is the shelf with accessible snacks for Lylia. She has never really eaten much so for us having these out in the open really promotes eating, and so far she has been. She asks me all the time for things, and it is great that she can reach them and they are organized so I know what to get in the future.

Now to Lylia's room! I don't have before pictures on this post, but if you look a few posts back you will see that I moved Lylia's bed right next to the wall, and it opened up so much floor space. Before I didn't want her next to the window because they are so drafty, but while my mom was here in December she helped us to put up this plastic stuff that is rather amazing, and has made a difference in the draft.

We use this as Lylia's dresser and it has been awesome! She can go and get things so easily and has helped her to be a little more independent.

The babies side of the room is coming together as well. Just have a few little things to put away before she comes. Love feeling clean and organized!

\I love my lamp vinyl! Only like $8 on ebay I think it was. Love it!

I asked Justin to make me some magnetic
boards for preschool and Justin put them together for me in some frames I got on sale.

I love them!

Here are my cloth wipes in progress. Cutting them 8 inches wide and then 8 inches in length.

Now I just need to serge around the edges. My next project is my baby tent. I didn't get started this previous weekend like I had wanted, but still feel like I got a lot done. After all I hosted my first at home preschool with Lylia and it was a success and that was something that I was worried about.

Life is good, and I love looking back at all that I have accomplished. Although when one room gets done and I start on another one, it is like the one that just got done is right where it was before, so it is always a work in progress.

  1. You've been a busy beaver!! Everything looks so wonderful. It always feels so good to feel organized. Life just seems a little easier and a little less congested. When are you going to come and finish organizing my kitchen? lol. Anywho.... Nice job Kelly!
