Car Seat Tent!

My inspiration and notes on how to adjust this beautiful quilt to a baby tent cover.

I found the fabrics long before I found the pattern I wanted to do. But it all worked out in the end!

Lots and lots of triangles!

Thanks to Justin's awesome picture taking skills he managed to get my baby tummy in there! lol. Thanks lovey!

Starting to take shape! I wasn't convinced at this point that I loved it.

Without the border!

Lots of pinning! Had to make sure those triangles all lined up!

Getting closer! With the straps the top is nearly done!

So I am seriously so proud of my pieced straps. Only a quilter probably appreciates this! I also switched the fabrics on the inside, not that anyone will ever see them, but I'll know! lol

The backing is all strip piecing of all the fabrics in the quilt, and a few I didn't get a chance to use!

It is finally done! The buttons are of leaves! Love it!

  1. That looks so awesome! I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner... for some reason I keep forgetting to add your crafty blog to my reading list. I'll fix that tonight.

You did an excellent job and I love how straight and perfect everything looks. It totally puts my two-pieces-of-flannel-sewn-together-somewhat-crookedly car seat canopy to shame!
